Dr. Medina joined Vora Dental Care in August 2026.
Dr. Itzel Medina was inspired to become a dentist in middle school after seeing how happy her dentists always were. She learned that she could empower people to take an active role in their health and make a big impact. During high school she participated in Columbia University’s State Pre-college Enrichment Program for students interested in medicine and dentistry.
She studied public health at New York University before earning her dental degree from Columbia University. Upon graduation from dental school, she was awarded the Ella Marie Ewell Award for academic merit. After graduation, she completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago, IL and served 5 years as a U. S. Navy Dental Corps Officer. She is also a member of the American Academy of General Dentistry and is dedicated to providing person-centered quality care through continuing education.
